Prenatal Physical Therapy

Pain // Dysfunction // Birth prep

So you’re going to be a mom…..

Anticipating and preparing to bring life into this world can be stressful enough. But it does not have to be painful too. Fem Restore is here for you every step of the way. Let me focus on your pain so you can focus on everything else.

What I treat..

Pain

Yes there will be some uncomfortable days, but they do not have to be painful. As baby continues to grow to term your muscles, ligaments and joints start to experience more stretch and strain. A lot of these ailments can be managed with supportive wear, exercises or movement modifications.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Your pelvic floor is working overtime as your baby continues to grow and pelvis starts to widen in preparation for birth. If you previously had PFD or are starting to experience symptoms of incontinence or prolapse, take charge of them now.

Birth Prep

A birth plan is essential. Want to know how to optimize your birth plan so you can decrease your risk of complications and pelvic floor injury during childbirth? In these classes we cover the essentials for before, during and after childbirth to help make it as smooth as possible.

Here’s what we’ll do.

Whether you are looking to prevent the onset of pregnancy-related pain/discomfort or you are already experiencing it, physical therapy can help. During our session, I can make recommendations on how to move optimally with your growing belly, exercises to help reduce discomfort or to help strengthen for support, recommend specific support wear and provide exercise guidance. I can also help with preparing you for the birth of your new bundle of joy. The endurance for labor and delivery is comparable to running a marathon. Would you go into a marathon without training? Let the training begin…
